5 Talents · San Antonio

Forward Deployed
Sales Engineer.

Every business owner you know is excited about AI. Ask them what their plan is and you get silence. That silence is the whole opportunity.

Your first move

Ten minutes, right here on this page. You will leave with a working call sheet built from people you already know.

The moment we are in

The people who own the decision have not made it

72%of CEOs say they are the primary AI decision maker in their company
36%said the same thing one year ago
13%of companies have actually deployed at scale with governance

Almost every CEO has decided the AI call is theirs to make, and almost none of them have made it. That gap is what we walk into, and it closes over the next 18 months whether or not you are in it.

What 5 Talents does

We install

We walk into a business, find the work that is quietly eating the most hours, and build the thing that runs it from then on. It is not a strategy deck, it is not a workshop, and it is not a subscription somebody forgets to log into. It is an installed system that is working when we leave.

Then we train their people to operate it and to build the next one themselves.

The title you earn

The role the industry is fighting over

This is the role the entire AI industry is fighting over right now. The reason is scarcity, because almost nobody can stand in front of a customer and ship a working AI deployment.

What the role pays in the open market, 2026
Palantir, median$215,000
Frontier lab, mid level$385,000 to $510,000
Frontier lab, senior$560,000 to $785,000
Frontier lab, principalpast $1,000,000

At several frontier labs, forward deployed engineers now out-earn the research scientists sitting next to them.

Palantir built that role. The frontier labs bid it up. The pay looks like that for one reason, which is that almost nobody can stand in front of a customer and ship a working AI deployment. It is not a credential problem, it is a scarcity problem, and scarcity is trainable.

How we train our people

Daily training, and it is the real thing

I am personally in three to five hours of training a day right now. Not because I have spare time. Because with where this market is moving it is the highest value thing I can do with a day, and I would rather be early than explain later why we were late.

You get the same access. Every day, year round.

Put a number on it and you are getting more than a fifty thousand dollar MBA, except this one is current.

That is the same training that produces the title in the table above, and it is the reason we can put somebody in front of a business owner and have them be genuinely useful in the room. It is also why we would rather have you good than have your money.

What it costs you to start

Nothing, and that is not normal

I sold Cutco knives in college. Before I earned a single dollar I had to buy the $495 demonstration set myself, out of my own pocket, and only then did I get to go work on commission. That is how almost every commission seat in this country is built.

Every one of those seats charges you for the right to go earn. Here you pay nothing. You get the full year of the program, Monday through Thursday, year round, the same one companies pay $999 a head for, and we train you into a forward deployed sales engineer. We would rather have you good than have your $999.

Before we ask for anything

You walk in giving, not asking

Finish the exercise below and the full list comes to you with your call sheet, along with when to use each one.

One thing to sell

You sell the installation

The training and the education come with it. You are not asking a company to go learn something and hope it sticks. We install the thing, it is running, and their people get taught on the system they just watched go in.

What you sellWhat the customer pays
Install, per computerOne computer, one operator, one system$999
Elite AI OperatorExecution, Intelligence, Governance$10,000 a year
AI Native CEOFor owners of companies with a minimum of 10 employees$25,000 a year
Monthly recurring, running what we installedAnd up, depending on size and scopeminimum $1,000 a month

Those are entry points, not the ceiling. Every one of them opens into ongoing monthly work, more installation as they grow, and for the largest companies a full company transformation. You are also carrying more into the room than what is on this list, and we go through exactly what and exactly when once you are in.

The $999 is the door

The deal is sized by the company, not by the price list

$999 gets you in almost anywhere. It is small enough that an owner can say yes without calling a committee, and that is exactly what it is for. It is not where the work ends up.

$999 per computer. Count the computers and you have the price.

Three computers is three thousand. Ten is ten thousand. There is no scope to argue about and no rate card to look up, and an owner can check your math in their head while you are still sitting there.

You walk in at $999, you get one thing working, and the account grows because they come back for the next one.

A 400 person company and a 4 person company walk through the same $999 door. What they look like 6 months later is not remotely the same, and you are paid on all of it. Your ceiling is not our price list, it is the size of the businesses you already know and how much of each one you get to touch.

How the work actually works

You already have the relationships

You know business owners, you know the people in your niche, and you know exactly who in that group is sitting in the silence right now. There is nothing to prospect and no list to buy.

You work when you want to work, you close who you want to close, and you decide whether a given account goes to training, to installation, or to both.

You are paid on the sale of installation and training. We bake the training into the installation, so it is one sale and one conversation. The accounts you open are meant to become a book of business that pays you for as long as you hold it.

Read this part honestly

This seat is not for everyone

Four things make this the wrong seat. If two of them are true for you, we would both be wasting a month finding out.

×

You cannot name ten people on the first pullWe will equip you to work your LinkedIn connections and your personal network, but you have to do the thing. We do not have that list and there is nothing to cold call.

×

You want a base salaryThere is not one. What there is instead is training you would be paying tens of thousands of dollars for right now, in agentic AI, workflow orchestration and governance.

×

You need the product to sell itselfIt does not. The agents do the work, but you will be competing with everyone who thinks they know AI right now.

×

You have never worked commission onlyKnow what you are choosing. If you do not work you will not close, and if you do not close you will not get paid.

Here is what we are actually looking for, and it is not what most people expect. I recruited, interviewed, hired and trained hundreds of sellers at Cutco. It took thousands of interviews to hire those hundreds, and out of them there were 60 to 70 who really crushed it. The knives were never why they stayed. Getting better at something was.

So we are looking for people who want to be great at this. People who want to serve their customers. People who want to serve their Lord through their work and perform at the highest level they can. People who want to better themselves and help others while they are doing it.

Ten minutes, starting now

Build your first call sheet

Four questions. When you finish, this page writes you a working session to run in whatever AI you already use, on the people you actually know. It ranks your list, writes your openers, and tells you the one thing you are most likely to get wrong. No cost, no login, no call to book.

Anybody at all, and do not stop to work out whether they count. Family, neighbours, the person who does your taxes. First names are fine, one per line. Get down whoever comes to mind and your call sheet will pull the rest out of you afterwards.

0 people named

What is their business, and what work do you already know is quietly costing them hours. A guess is fine.

They have run a business for thirty years and have never used a chatbot. No jargon. This is the whole job, so write it the way you would actually say it out loud.
